The special bonds between the two have been severed. Consequently, STAR Group is selling back the 25.99 per cent share that it had in Balaji Telefilms to Balaji. The 51:49 per cent joint venture that the two had created for south regional channels has been dissolved. Also, the exclusivity clause that STAR India had with Balaji, wherein the latter couldn`t create any shows on other channels in time slots where it had a show for Star Plus or even if it created for Star One, is also relinquished.

About 4,50,000 users interacted with Reebok and close to 40 per cent downloaded its mobile content while 15 per cent viewed the featured videos.

NDTV to expand bouquet with one more local news and 2 non-news channels

Bollywood-centric channel Imagine Showbiz has gone on air on August 15. The Group has also lined up a world movie channel under the NDTV Lumiere brand, which is expected to be launched in the next 2-3 months. The local news channel will be launched in Chennai by the end of this calendar year as part of the NDTV MetroNation bouquet. At present NDTV runs six channels in India and three channels overseas.

Newspaper launches in Bangalore out to catch ‘em young

And both papers are targeting the youth in their communications. The DNA campaign, created by Contract Mumbai, shows several young men and women claiming `I believe in Bangalore - Because Bangalore is in my DNA`. Similarly, Deccan Chronicle sports the tagline `For young minds`, which clearly states its TG. What’s more, an outdoor ad for The New Indian Express too features a youngster. So why is a traditional medium like newspaper targeting the youth? Is it just an intelligent strategy to attract advertisers who obviously want to reach this segment of the population?
A bullish DNA earmarks Rs 10-12 cr for marketing Bangalore edition
